City: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has announced the
activation of its emergency response plan at Kuwait International Airport after
Terminal One was targeted by Iranian drones and missiles, resulting in significant
damage to several airport facilities and causing casualties.

official spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi said the relevant authorities
immediately responded in accordance with approved emergency procedures and
contingency plans to ensure the safety of passengers, airport staff, and
infrastructure. All flight operations have been suspended and flights are being
diverted to alternative airports until further notice, pending the completion
of necessary security and technical measures and confirmation of the airport's
readiness to resume operations.
Specialised technical teams have begun comprehensive inspections and assessments of the damage to airport facilities and operational systems in preparation for repair work. Al-Rajhi stressed that the safety of passengers and employees remains the top priority, and the public will be updated as soon as additional information becomes available.
