Doha: Qatar’s Minister of Public Health, HE
Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud, has said the country’s healthcare system is
fully prepared, supported by a strong stock of medicines and essential
supplies.
He said the country has a reserve that can last up
to nine months, and it has not been used so far. The stock remains ready if
needed.
Hospitals and healthcare facilities are operating
24 hours a day, with teams closely monitoring capacity and emergency response.
The minister said the country’s healthcare network
is well equipped, with hospitals and emergency centres supported by a large
number of medical staff.
He added that services such as patient care,
dialysis and vaccinations are continuing without any disruption. Blood supply
levels also remain stable.
He said most recent cases were minor and handled
quickly, with only one patient currently under treatment in stable condition.
The minister also said there are no issues with
the supply of medicines or equipment, and coordination is in place to ensure
smooth availability.
He added that the health sector is ready to
respond to any situation, and advised the public to rely only on official
information.
