Doha, Qatar: Marking the spirit of compassion and togetherness, Nadumuttam Qatar celebrated Eid in a unique way by organizing a free food distribution initiative called the ‘Eid happiness box’. Held at the Pravasi Welfare office in Nuaija, the event aimed to support individuals facing food insecurity, ensuring that no one was left behind in the joyous celebrations of Eid.

The distribution drive was inaugurated by ICBF Acting President Rasheed Ahmed and presided over by Nadumuttam Acting President Latha Krishna. Several dignitaries, including ICBF General Secretary Deepak Shetty, ICC Cultural Activity Coordinator Nandini, ISC, MC Member Aseem, and Pravasi Welfare & Cultural Forum President R. Chandramohan, attended the event, extending their greetings. Nadumuttam General Secretary Fathima Tasneem welcomed the gathering, while ‘Eid Happiness Box’ Coordinator Sakeena Abdullah expressed gratitude to all contributors and volunteers.

With a mission to bring joy to those in need, Nadumuttam has been conducting this initiative for years, identifying recipients in advance through local community networks. On the day of Eid, over 1,000 individuals received Eid Happiness Box, with an additional 500 kits distributed to fishermen working on boats and laborers in camps through the efforts of Team Welfare members.

The initiative was successfully led by Secretary Siji Pushkin, Convener Sumayya Tahseen, and Central Committee members including Jolly Thomas, Sajna Saki, Ajeena Aseem, Ahsana, Ramya Nambiyat, Abida Zubair, Waheeda Nazeer, and other dedicated volunteers.
