Ali Hasan elected President; Nishad Guruvayur named General Secretary

Doha: Pravasi Welfare has elected its new leadership for the Thrissur district for the forthcoming term, with the office bearers chosen at the district general council meeting held recently.

Umar Kalathinkal, Simi Akbar and Jyothinath were elected as Vice Presidents, while Najathulla was appointed Treasurer. Noorusaman Eriyad, Harris Karumathra and Fahad E. K. were elected as Secretaries. Nasimudheen, Naseem Meppat, Latheef Guruvayur and Shajeer Mullakkara were named Conveners of various departments.

Abdul Wahad, Khadijabi Naushad, Mansoor P. M., Marzook, Najiya Zaheer, Naushad Oliyath, Shamseer Hasan, Sharin K. Muhammed and others were elected as district committee members. The election was led by Pravasi Welfare State Committee Member Rasheed Ahmed and State Secretary Nihas Eriyad. Former General Secretary Umar Kalathinkal presented the activity report, while former District President Abdul Wahad, newly elected District President Ali Hasan and other leaders addressed the meeting.
