Doha, Qatar: Expats SportEv has officially released the poster for its much-anticipated Community Sports Meet–2025, to be held in conjunction with Qatar National Sports Day, marking a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, unity, and cultural diversity.
The
poster was unveiled by the event’s main sponsors, Al Ajjaj Limited Company Senior Managers
Najeeb Chalapatta and Vijayakumar Ramaswamy, Auto Fast Track Managing Director
Shiyas Kottaram, and Radio Malayalam CEO Anwar Hussain, in the presence of Expats SportEv President A.R.
Abdul Gafoor. Explaining the objectives and schedule of the
meet, General Convener Ahmed Shafi
highlighted the inclusive nature of the event and the wide range of competitions
planned. Addressing the gathering, Najeeb Chalapatta and Shiyas Kottaram extended
their best wishes and congratulated the organizers for promoting community
bonding through sports.
The Community Sports Meet–2025 will feature a
diverse set of competitions including running events, long jump, high jump, shot put, pentathlon, badminton,
tug of war, shootout, cricket bowling, and more. Separate
competitions will be conducted for men and women across different age
categories. In the men’s division, participants aged 20–35 will compete in Category A, those
above 35 in Category B, and
athletes above 50 in the Masters category.
In the women’s division, 20–30 years will be classified under Category A, while
those above 30 will
compete in Category B.
This year’s meet will witness participation not
only from various Malayali associations in Qatar but also from organizations
representing other Indian states, reflecting the event’s growing reach and
inclusivity. A special march past showcasing the cultural diversity of India and Qatar
will be a key highlight of the programme. Adding further prestige, athletes who
have represented India in international masters tournaments will be seen competing
for different teams.
