M.E.S Indian School marks World Hindi Day with vibrant cultural showcase and linguistic unity

Doha, Qatar: M.E.S Indian School celebrated World Hindi Day with great enthusiasm and cultural fervour by organizing a colourful and meaningful programme on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the school’s Conference Hall. The event was aimed at inspiring students to learn, appreciate, and take pride in the Hindi language and its rich literary and cultural heritage.


A distinctive highlight of the celebration was that the entire programme was presented exclusively by students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, reflecting the growing global appeal of Hindi and its role in fostering cultural harmony. Their participation underscored the unifying power of the language across communities.


The programme began with a brief introduction by Mr. Sameer Pandey of the Hindi Department, followed by a warm welcome address by Master Aariz Mazood Khan of Class VIII-G. In her inaugural address, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S Indian School, highlighted Hindi as a powerful medium of expression and a symbol of cultural identity and national pride. She encouraged students to embrace the language with dedication and enthusiasm while exploring its vast literary legacy.

The celebration was further enriched by a vibrant cultural segment featuring students from the Boys’, Girls’, and Junior Sections. The performances included inspiring speeches, melodious group songs, and graceful dance presentations, all beautifully showcasing the elegance and depth of Hindi language and culture.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mohamed Elsayed Ibrahim spoke on the significance of Hindi and its expanding global presence. Mr. Rajendran S., Coordinator of the Hindi Department, captivated the audience with a heartfelt poem and delivered an inspiring message, urging students to develop a deep and lasting passion for the Hindi language.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Master Khan Omer Ahmed, followed by the National Anthem sung by the school choir. The event was attended by school officials, teachers, and students from all sections, whose enthusiastic participation made the celebration a memorable success and a vibrant tribute to linguistic pride and cultural unity through Hindi.
