Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has warned that fresh to strong northwesterly winds will affect the country from Thursday, January 15, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and a stronger sense of cold.
The
department said wind speeds may intensify over the weekend, particularly on
Saturday and Sunday, potentially causing dusty conditions in some areas and
reducing horizontal visibility at times. Cooler temperatures are expected to
prevail, especially during nighttime and early morning hours.
Marine conditions are also likely to deteriorate, with rough seas forecast throughout the period. QMD has urged fishermen, small boat users and sea-goers to exercise caution, noting that marine warnings will remain in effect until early next week.
