Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) announced on Monday that electronic registration for its Social Responsibility Project for Private Schools and Kindergartens will open on January 20, 2026. The initiative aims to support the community by providing free and discounted educational opportunities through participating private schools and kindergartens.
According
to the ministry, the project offers several categories of seats, including
fully free seats, discounted seats, free seats allocated for students with
disabilities, and seats provided to Qatari students at the value of educational
vouchers. The project also includes fully free evening education programs
offered by some participating schools.
In
a video shared on MoEHE’s official social media platforms, the ministry
clarified that the project is open to families of all nationalities who meet
the eligibility criteria set by the ministry. To ensure the support reaches
families most in need, clear income thresholds have been established. For fully
free seats, the total family income must not exceed QR 10,000, while for
discounted seats the income ceiling is QR 15,000. Seats designated for Qatari
students under the educational voucher scheme are available to families with
incomes not exceeding QR 25,000.
Applications
will be submitted electronically starting January 20, 2026, through the
ministry’s official website. The available curricula under the project include
British, Indian, American, and national education programs.
The
ministry emphasized that all awarded seats are sustainable and will remain
valid for students until graduation. The Social Responsibility Project forms
part of Qatar’s wider efforts to enhance educational equity and social
development, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
