Qatar Public Prosecution launches self-service kiosk enabling direct and secure communication between inmates and Public Prosecution

Doha, Qatar: The Public Prosecution, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, has introduced a self-service kiosk to facilitate direct and secure communication between inmates in correctional and rehabilitation institutions and the Public Prosecution. This platform allows inmates to submit requests through smart devices powered by artificial intelligence, ensuring these reach the Public Prosecution efficiently and confidentially.

The initiative strengthens legal guarantees for inmates, preserving their rights and bolstering confidence in the justice system. Key features include secure, independent login for each inmate, the ability to submit requests in their chosen language, and confidential audio feedback via headsets.

The Enforcement of Sentences Office processes these requests directly, with responses provided in the language of submission. Additionally, the platform supports the submission of public service requests and allows inmates to track reports and subsequent actions.

The Public Prosecution emphasized that this platform is part of its digital transformation strategy, leveraging smart technologies to enhance judicial services and uphold justice and transparency. The initiative also aligns with its commitment to protecting inmates' rights.
