Doha: The Qatar National Library has announced an
extensive summer program beginning in July, offering a wide range of activities
for heritage professionals, children, families, and job seekers. The program
features cultural conservation, STEM learning, creative arts, literacy
initiatives, and career development workshops.
The program opens on July 1 with a webinar for heritage professionals on emergency
grants for cultural heritage projects. On the same day, the Library will also
launch the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge,
encouraging children aged 6 to 14 to develop reading habits throughout the
summer until August 15.
From July
15, the Library's Seventh Summer Camp will offer weekly activities for
different age groups, including toddler play sessions, storytelling, STEM
workshops, and creative arts programs for teenagers, providing engaging
educational experiences throughout the school break.
The month concludes with "Skills Hub: Your 2026 Career
Launchpad" from July 21 to
23, where career expert Adrian Wallwork will guide participants on
writing effective CVs, preparing for interviews, and developing essential
workplace skills, including the responsible use of AI in today's job market.
