Doha, Qatar: Qatar Tec, a prominent manpower supply company in Qatar, has voiced its enthusiastic support for the Kerala Government's "Operation Toofan," a comprehensive initiative designed to tackle the escalating issue of narcotics and dismantle the drug mafia operating throughout the state.



During a World Drug Day awareness program organized at the company, Jebi K. John, Managing Director of Qatar Tec, praised the Kerala Government for launching a decisive and timely campaign against drug abuse. He underscored that the increasing prevalence of narcotics among youth has emerged as one of today's most pressing social challenges, necessitating collective action from all sectors of society.

The program shed light on the alarming global surge in drug addiction and emphasized the importance of preventive education, early intervention, and ongoing public awareness. Speakers highlighted that each individual plays a vital role in fostering a drug-free society, with awareness being one of the most effective tools to prevent addiction.

Laiju Varghese, Admin & Procurement Manager, stressed that workplaces should actively promote awareness regarding the dangers of drug abuse. He noted that organizations can make a significant impact by encouraging healthy lifestyles, conducting educational programs, and nurturing a culture of responsibility among employees.

Sreeregha Parayilvalappil, Accounts Supervisor, pointed out the significance of strengthening family values and educating youth from an early age. She emphasized that informed communities and strong family support systems are crucial in preventing substance abuse and ensuring the well-being of future generations.

Jinoj Mathew Thomas, Project Account Manager, urged individuals and organizations to serve as ambassadors for the anti-drug movement. He stated that every awareness initiative, regardless of its size, has the potential to save lives and inspire positive societal change.

The program concluded with employees collectively pledging to stand united against drug abuse and actively support awareness initiatives aimed at fostering healthier communities. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to promoting a culture of responsibility, vigilance, and social harmony, while supporting campaigns that encourage youth to lead lives free from addiction.
