Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher
Education has instructed schools and kindergartens across Qatar to shift to
distance learning as a precautionary step.
The decision applies to private schools, nurseries
and educational service centres, with remote classes set to begin from March 1,
2026, until further notice. Institutions have been asked to activate their
approved online platforms and ensure that lessons continue according to the
academic plan.
Physical attendance for students and staff has
been suspended, while nurseries have been granted temporary leave. The ministry
said the move is intended to maintain continuity in education while
prioritising safety, and urged parents and students to follow official updates
for further information.
