New Delhi: Iran has expressed deep gratitude to India for extending humanitarian assistance during the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel. In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), the Iranian Embassy in India said, “Thank you India, will never forget your kindness, humanity,” acknowledging New Delhi’s timely support during the crisis.
India
has once again reinforced its reputation as a key humanitarian partner by
supplying essential medical aid and relief materials. The assistance is part of
India’s broader commitment to global solidarity, guided by its long-standing
principle of Vasudhaiva
Kutumbakam - meaning “the world is one family.” Over the years,
India has extended similar support to several countries in times of need,
including Ukraine and other regions affected by conflict and disasters.
The
first tranche of aid to Iran was dispatched on March 18, consisting of critical
medical supplies aimed at supporting healthcare systems under strain due to the
conflict. The gesture was widely appreciated, reflecting India’s proactive role
in providing relief beyond its immediate neighbourhood.
In a
further show of solidarity, two residents from Budgam in Jammu and Kashmir
contributed gold, silver, and cash donations to support Iran amid the crisis.
Their contribution highlights the humanitarian spirit at the grassroots level,
complementing official efforts and symbolising strong people-to-people goodwill
between the two nations.
