Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become India's longest-serving Prime Minister, completing 4,399 days in office and surpassing the record of India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, who served for 4,398 days. The milestone drew congratulations from several world leaders, including former US President Donald Trump.
In a message shared on social media, Trump
congratulated Modi on the historic achievement, describing him as a
"great" leader and a close friend. He praised Modi as a "strong,
healthy, and wise man" and wished him many more years of success and
greatness. Responding to the message, Modi thanked Trump for his warm wishes
and expressed his commitment to further strengthening the India-US
Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
Netanyahu
Congratulates PM Modi
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also
extended his congratulations to Modi, commending his leadership and
contribution to India's development. Netanyahu praised Modi for transforming
India and noted that the relationship between India and Israel has reached unprecedented
levels during his tenure.
Netanyahu said the ties between the two nations
have "never been stronger" and expressed confidence that cooperation
between India and Israel would continue to grow in the years ahead. Greetings
also poured in from several other world leaders, highlighting Modi's growing
influence on the global stage.
