Doha: A total of 147 competition horses that took
part in the Doha Equestrian Tour have been safely transported from Doha to
Europe after a carefully planned operation carried out in coordination with
several authorities and logistics partners.
The horses were flown to Liège in Belgium on two
special cargo flights. The first aircraft carried 74 horses, while the
remaining 73 were transported on the second flight.
Officials said the arrangements were completed
within a short period through close coordination between organisers, transport
teams and relevant authorities. Veterinary checks, documentation and transport
procedures were handled to ensure the animals travelled safely.
Due to the temporary disruption of normal flights
at Hamad International Airport, alternative travel arrangements were also
organised for riders, trainers and support staff. Some team members travelled
by road to neighbouring countries before continuing their journey to Europe.
