Doha: The Amiri Diwan has announced the official
Eid Al-Fitr holiday for ministries, government agencies and public institutions
in Qatar.
According to the announcement, the holiday will
begin on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and continue until Monday, March 23, 2026.
Employees are expected to return to work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, after the
break.
The decision applies to ministries and public
bodies across the country. Authorities said separate announcements regarding
holiday schedules for banks and financial institutions will be issued by the
relevant authorities.
Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of
Ramadan and is widely celebrated across Qatar with prayers, family gatherings
and community events.
