Doha: The MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar
2026 has been postponed and will now take place in November, according to
organisers.
The race was originally scheduled to be held at
the Lusail International Circuit from April 10 to April 12. However, the event
has now been rescheduled to November 6 to November 8 following changes to the
MotoGP calendar.
The decision was announced in coordination with
MotoGP organisers, the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation and Lusail
International Circuit authorities. Officials confirmed their support for the
revised schedule and said preparations will continue for the event on the new
dates.
Reports indicate that the change was made due to
the current situation in the region, which has affected travel and
international sporting events.
With the revised schedule, the Qatar round will
now be held in the later part of the MotoGP season, with organisers expected to
release more details about the event in the coming months.
