The 17th edition of the Asia Cup begins on Tuesday, September 9, as Afghanistan faces Hong Kong in the opening match in Abu Dhabi. 

The tournament, which runs until September 28, features eight teams vying for the continental title. This year's competition will be played in the T20 format, offering essential preparation for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

A highly anticipated group stage match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 14 in Dubai. The two rivals could potentially meet up to three times, including possible showdowns in the Super Fours and the final, depending on the outcomes.

Out of the 19 matches scheduled, 11, including the final, will take place in Dubai, while Abu Dhabi will host the remaining eight games.
