FIFA revealed the selection of 54 referees who will officiate the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, scheduled from December 1 to 18, 2025.
This lineup includes 14 main referees, 28 assistant referees, and 12 video assistant referees (VAR) from 23 national federations, as detailed in FIFA's official statement on its website.
Among the selected officials are four Qataris: Abdulrahman Al Jassim as a main referee, Saud Al Magaleh and Taleb Al Marri as assistants, and Khamis Al Marri as a VAR.
The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 serves as a significant opportunity for referees to potentially participate in the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The tournament matches will be hosted across six stadiums in Qatar, previously used during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Nine teams have already secured their spots, while 14 others will compete for the remaining seven positions during qualifiers in Doha on November 25 and 26.
