Doha, Qatar: Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) announced that more than 2.5 million passengers utilized the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram networks during the group stage of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025, held from December 1-9.

A total of 2,419,433 passengers traveled via Metro, while 108,239 used the tram services. The networks experienced a remarkable turnout from Arab Cup fans, particularly on day 8 of the tournament, which recorded the highest ridership since the competition began on December 1, with over 315,000 passengers transported that day.

Lusail QNB Station emerged as the busiest across the metro network, with nearly 88,000 passengers, followed by Msheireb and DECC stations. In the Lusail Tram network, Legtaiftya Station saw the highest footfall.
