MES Indian School launches ‘My Well-being is a Trust’ to empower student ambassadors

Doha, Qatar: In a remarkable step toward nurturing moral values and student leadership, MES Indian School held the Ambassador Launch Ceremony of its initiative “My Well-being is a Trust” on October 20, 2025, at the school’s Conference Hall. Conducted under the national programme “My Values Define My Identity,” the event aimed to foster empathy, responsibility, and leadership among students while reinforcing the school’s ongoing commitment to character building and holistic well-being.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Usman Mayyeri, Head of the Department of Arabic, followed by the inaugural address from Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal of MES Indian School. She congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors and praised the teachers for their continued dedication to value-based education. The event’s Chief Guest, Mr. Shaheed Alungath, Director of Moral Education & Islamic Affairs, along with the Principal, conferred badges to 328 student ambassadors, symbolizing their new role as custodians of well-being within the school community. Teachers-in-charge were also honoured with special badges for their mentorship and guidance.

A video presentation highlighting last year’s impactful activities provided a glimpse into the growth and success of the programme. The audience was deeply moved by a student-led skit on bullying, presented by the Junior Section, which emphasized the importance of compassion, respect, and standing up for one another. The powerful performance reinforced the initiative’s central theme - promoting emotional intelligence and moral responsibility among students.

In an inspiring address, Mr. Davidson from the Boys’ Section elaborated on the duties and ethical expectations of the student ambassadors. The ceremony concluded with a pledge led by Master Abhishek Vijay, where all ambassadors vowed to uphold respect, responsibility, and compassion in their actions. Head Prefect Nimisha Liz Abraham delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. The event was attended by members of the MES Governing Board, directors, key functionaries, teachers, and students, marking yet another milestone in MES’s journey toward building a value-driven student community.
