Doha, Qatar: The Amiri Diwan has announced a four-day national mourning period following the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The mourning will commence on Sunday, July 12, 2026. During this period, work will be suspended in all ministries, government agencies, public bodies, and institutions starting Monday, July 13, 2026. Employees are expected to return to work on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
Flags across the nation will be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect for the late leader.
