Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar’s Ministry of Transport has announced the suspension of all maritime activities until further notice.
This decision, shared via social media, stated that for public safety, owners and users of maritime vessels, such as leisure boats, fishing boats, and jet skis, and all other maritime vessels are informed to suspend operations and all maritime activities temporarily.
"The maritime vessels subject to the provisions of the international maritime conventions, and which operate as per the regulations and procedures in place, are exempted,” said the statement.
The statement added, "This temporary precautionary measure has been taken based on coordination with the security bodies concerned. The Ministry of Transport urges all to adhere to this update."
Ministry also highlighted that all relevant updates will be announced in coordination with the competent authorities through official channels.
