Armenia has officially implemented a visa-free entry policy for citizens and residents of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, allowing short stays of up to 90 days. The move applies to nationals of the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, and aims to strengthen travel and tourism ties between Armenia and the Gulf region.
Under
the new regulation, all passport holders from GCC nations can enter Armenia
without a visa for tourism, business, or leisure purposes, provided their stay
does not exceed 90 days within a 180-day period. The policy also extends to
expatriates residing in any GCC country, granted they hold valid residency
permits with at least six months' validity from their date of arrival in
Armenia.
The
initiative comes amid a surge in interest among GCC nationals and expatriates
seeking accessible travel destinations rich in culture and natural beauty.
Armenia’s historical sites, mountainous landscapes, and renowned hospitality
make it an attractive option for regional travellers. The visa-free policy is
expected to significantly boost tourist arrivals and promote greater economic
and cultural exchanges between Armenia and the Gulf.
