Brescia,
Italy - A tragic plane crash on Tuesday, claimed the lives of two
people when an ultralight Freccia RG aircraft nose-dived onto a highway in
Azzano Mella, Brescia. The plane burst into flames upon impact, with a widely
circulated video showing the aircraft descending rapidly before hitting the
pavement and igniting.
The
victims were identified as 75-year-old pilot Sergio Ravaglia and his partner,
60-year-old Ann Maria De Stefano. Authorities believe Ravaglia was attempting
an emergency landing after losing control of the aircraft but failed to regain
stability in time. The crash also engulfed two passing cars in flames, injuring
two motorists who were later reported to be in stable condition.
Thick black smoke and a large fire were seen at the crash site, prompting immediate emergency response. The dramatic footage shared online shows nearby drivers frantically steering away from the blaze. Investigations are underway to determine the exact cause of the incident.
