Doha: Dr. Alif
Shukoor has assumed charge as the Director overseeing the Academic and
Operational Departments of the various Madrasahs functioning under the Centre
for Indian Community (CIC).
Dr. Alif holds a
postgraduate degree and a doctorate in Islamic Studies from Aligarh Muslim
University. An accomplished educationist, researcher, and trainer, he has
rendered distinguished services in Kerala and the Gulf region. With extensive
experience in Islamic education, he has held several academic leadership
positions across educational institutions.
His previous roles
include Lecturer at Al Jamia Al Islamia, Head of the Department of Islamic Studies
at a College of Arts and Science, Arabic Language Trainer at the Kuwait Islamic
Presentation Committee, and Director of the English Madrasa in Kuwait. He has
made notable contributions in teaching, training, curriculum development, and
educational leadership.
In his new role, Dr.
Alif will lead academic supervision, institutional development, quality
enhancement initiatives, teacher empowerment programmes, curriculum
development, and innovative teaching and learning practices across the five
Malayalam Madrasas and two English Madrasas operating under CIC.
CIC office-bearers
expressed confidence that his leadership, vision, and experience will further
strengthen the student-centred and value-based educational environment of the
Madrasahs and help elevate them to new levels of academic excellence.
