Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that government schools will transition to summer working hours beginning May 3 and continuing through June 3, 2026. This adjustment is designed to accommodate rising temperatures while maintaining the required number of class periods.

Under the new schedule, the school day for all educational stages will begin at 7:00 am. Departure times have been announced as follows:

• Kindergartens: 12:00 pm
• Primary schools: 12:30 pm
• Preparatory and Secondary schools: 12:45 pm

Working hours for administrative and teaching staff will also follow a set schedule, starting at 7:00 am and concluding at 1:15 pm. These changes are part of a broader effort to organize the school day in response to seasonal climatic conditions and ensure a smooth lead-up to second-semester final exams, which are scheduled to begin on June 4.
