Doha: The Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care (Ehsan) has announced a Holy Quran competition for elderly participants as part of its efforts to address their religious, cultural and social needs and enhance their quality of life and community participation.

The competition aims to encourage participants to recite, memorize and reflect on the Holy Quran in a positive and spiritual environment. It will also recognize excellence in memorization, recitation and mastery of Tajweed.

The competition will be conducted according to approved rules and judging criteria, with a specialized committee assessing participants based on accuracy of memorization, correctness of recitation, Tajweed and delivery. Registration will open for eligible participants in accordance with the announced guidelines.
