Nagoya, Japan: Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani invited the youth of Asia to Doha for the 21st Asian Games in 2030, following the closing ceremony of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. He said Qatar’s hosting of the Games would continue the spirit and values of the Asian Games across the continent.

Joaan highlighted the outstanding performances at Aichi-Nagoya 2026, where more
than 350 records were broken, including over 50 world records. He also praised
the athletes for their sportsmanship and congratulated the organising committee,
the Japanese Olympic Committee, the Japanese government and all those involved
in staging the Games.
He
thanked the 45 Asian National Olympic Committees, partners, sponsors,
broadcasters, volunteers and residents of Aichi, Nagoya and the co-hosting cities
for their support. Sheikh Joaan said the conclusion of Aichi-Nagoya 2026 marks
not an end, but the beginning of a new era for Asian sport, with the Games now
moving from East to West, from Japan to Qatar.
