Doha, Qatar: Focus International (FI), Qatar region, popularly known as focusQATAR, is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with a year-long series of impactful initiatives aimed at societal transformation. Registered with the Indian Cultural Centre under the Indian Embassy’s aegis, the organization will align its anniversary programs with Qatar National Vision 2030, focusing on Education, Health & Wellness, and Sustainability. Founded in 2005, focusQATAR has become a cornerstone for community engagement and sustainable development within the Indian diaspora in Qatar.
Over the past two decades, focusQATAR has spearheaded various
transformative initiatives through its five foundational pillars: Fraternity,
Obedience, Commitment, Unity, and Service. With a diverse team of volunteers
working across departments such as Social Welfare, Health, Human Resources, and
Sports and Arts, the organization has significantly impacted the community.
Among its notable achievements are EDUfocus, ECOfocus, Doha Youth Conference,
and "Health in 4 Dimensions." International milestones include
establishing a community school in Jharkhand, India, and earning a Guinness
World Record for the largest boot exhibit during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
CEO Haris PT announced during a press conference that the 20th-anniversary
celebrations will feature major events such as the EDU Summit, Health &
Wellness Summit, and Eco Summit, along with 20 related activities. These
initiatives aim to address critical areas of community development and align
with Qatar’s sustainable development goals. The official anniversary launch is
scheduled for January 17, 2025, at Ideal Indian School, Abu Hamour, with
esteemed guests, including Indian Embassy representatives, Indian MP Dr.
Abdussamad Samadani, and other dignitaries.
The announcement was made at a press meet held at Aroma Restaurant, Hilal, attended by FI Qatar’s CEO Haris PT, COO Ameer Shaji, CFO Faiz E, and Advisory Board Chairman Askar Rahiman. The event was led by key members Ashiq Beypore, Rashik Baker, Safeerussalam, Shaneej Edathanattukara, Ameenurahman AS, Hafis Shabeer, Hamad Bin Siddique, Moideen Sha, and Dr. Raseel Moideen. Focus International’s journey exemplifies a commitment to holistic community engagement and sustainable development, reflecting its vision of creating a meaningful impact within and beyond Qatar.
