Global voices shine as ‘Tilawa-2026’ International Quran Recitation Competition concludes

Dubai: The prestigious ‘Tilawa-2026’ International Quran Recitation Competition, organized by ICF, concluded successfully, bringing together exceptional talents from across the globe. The grand event, held for madrasa students in the diaspora, highlighted the beauty and significance of Quran recitation while strengthening the younger generation’s connection with the Holy Quran.

The competition was conducted in four rigorous stages - Madrasa, Region, Chapter, and National - leading up to the International Grand Finale. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jamal Farooq Gabriel Mahmud Al-Daqqah, Principal of Jamia Al-Azhar College of Usuluddin, Egypt. Indian Grand Mufti Kanthapuram A.P. Abubakar Musliyar attended as chief guest, while Syed Abdurahman Atakoya Thangal led the prayer. The program was presided over by ICF International President Mambad Abdul Aziz Sakhafi, with General Secretary Nisar Sakhafi delivering the message. Fazil Noorani presented a Quran lecture, and a panel of esteemed judges including Nuruddin Sakhafi, Muhammed Kutty Sakhafi, and Hafiz Anwar Lateefi evaluated the participants.

Winners across categories were announced by Abdurrazak Musliyar Paravanna, Zubair Sakhafi Kottayam, and Abdul Kareem Haji Memunda. The event was coordinated by a dedicated team including Farooq Kavwai, Raziq Haji, Saleh Noorani, Abdul Hakeem A.K. Zakir Master, O.P. Sadiq Ali, and Shameer Pannur. Abdurrashid Sakhafi Mukkam welcomed the gathering, while Sharif Karassery delivered the vote of thanks.
