Doha: Long-time Qatari expatriate and Civium Group Managing Director C.V. Muhammed Ali (70) passed away in Doha on Thursday. A native of Mookuthala, Changaramkulam, Malappuram district, Kerala, he was a well-known entrepreneur and a respected member of the Indian expatriate community in Qatar.

Muhammed Ali served with Qatar National Bank (QNB) for many years. Following his retirement, he ventured into business and became the Managing Director of Civium Group. He was also a member of the Advisory Committee of Majestic Malappuram (Malappuram District Pravasi Association) and was actively involved in community and expatriate initiatives.

He is survived by his children, Nihad Ali, former General Secretary of the Indian Sports Centre and President of Majestic Malappuram, Nabeel, Jaseena, and Najla. The burial will take place on Thursday after Isha prayers at the Al Mesaimir Mosque Cemetery in Doha.
