LuLu Mango Mania 2026 brings India’s finest mangoes to Qatar

Doha: LuLu Group, in association with the Embassy of India in Qatar and Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, officially launched the much-awaited “LuLu Mango Mania 2026 – Best of India Mango Festival” at LuLu Hypermarket Al Gharafa. The grand inauguration brought together dignitaries, officials, Indian community leaders, media representatives and mango lovers to celebrate India’s rich mango heritage and the arrival of the season’s finest varieties in Qatar.


The festival was inaugurated by Vipul along with Sandeep Saha and Mohamed Althaf. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from guests and customers as LuLu unveiled more than 40 premium varieties of Indian mangoes sourced from leading mango-growing regions across India. The seasonal promotion is regarded as one of the most popular mango festivals across the Gulf region, highlighting the unmatched taste, aroma and diversity of Indian mangoes, famously known as the “King of Fruits.”


Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Vipul said the festival has evolved into a major seasonal celebration across the GCC and serves as a cultural bridge connecting India with Qatar and the wider Gulf community. He noted that India remains the world’s largest producer of mangoes and expressed appreciation to LuLu for continuously supporting Indian exporters and ensuring the availability of premium Indian mangoes in Qatar despite global logistical challenges.

Speaking during the event, Sandeep Saha of APEDA highlighted the growing export potential of Indian mangoes and stressed the importance of the GCC market for India’s agricultural exports. He said APEDA is expecting a strong export season this year and expressed pride in presenting over 40 varieties of premium Indian mangoes, including the highly sought-after Miyazaki mango, to consumers in Qatar and across the region.

The festival features a wide selection of popular mango varieties including Alphonso, Kesar, Badami, Langra, Dasheri and Mallika, carefully selected from renowned mango-producing states in India. The inauguration ceremony concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting attended by dignitaries and guests, officially marking the opening of LuLu Mango Mania 2026. The promotion is currently underway across all LuLu Hypermarket outlets in Qatar, offering customers an opportunity to enjoy the authentic flavours of India’s celebrated mango season.
