Doha: The Ministry of Interior has issued a reminder of a feature on the Metrash mobile application allowing travelers from Qatar to pre-register for the Abu Samra border crossing.

The pre-registration service allows Qatari vehicle owners - citizens and residents - to complete travel procedures through the crossing with ease and convenience. The steps include logging into the Metrash app, opening the 'Travel' window, selecting "Pre-Registration for Abu Samra," choosing the registration type (Entry or Exit), specifying the expected travel date, selecting the vehicle type, adding drivers and passengers, verifying the information, and submitting.

The ministry noted that a new feature allows Qatari vehicle owners to add drivers and passengers from GCC countries using their ID or passport numbers, and visitors using passport numbers, even if the vehicle owner is not traveling. A confirmation message is sent once registration is complete.
