Ministry of Municipality, Indian Embassy Mark World Environment Day with Tree-Planting Event

DOHA - The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Public Parks Department and Doha Municipality, joined hands with the Embassy of India in Qatar to organise a tree-planting event on World Environment Day as part of Qatar’s ongoing Plant 10 Million Trees Initiative.

The event brought together officials from the Ministry, representatives of the Indian Embassy, and members of the Indian community, highlighting their shared commitment to environmental sustainability and green development. Indian Ambassador H E Vipul participated in the initiative by planting saplings alongside other officials.

The tree-planting drive supports Qatar’s broader environmental goals of enhancing biodiversity, expanding green spaces, and promoting sustainable development. The Ministry of Municipality continues to advance the 10 Million Trees Initiative through partnerships with various stakeholders, reinforcing the country’s vision for a greener future.
