Doha: The Ministry of Interior has released a set of guidelines to prevent vehicle fires, particularly during periods of high temperatures, urging motorists to follow a number of precautionary measures to reduce the risk.

The ministry advised motorists not to leave mobile phones, portable chargers, or power banks inside their vehicles, and to ensure there are no lighters, perfumes, sanitizers, or other flammable substances left inside. The ministry further warned against making hazardous modifications to vehicle electrical systems.
