The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has announced that the temporary extension granted for all categories of expired or soon-to-expire entry visas will officially end on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The extension had originally been introduced on March 3, 2026, as a temporary measure covering various visa categories across the country.
The
ministry stated that normal visa procedures and regulations will fully resume
from the announced date. This includes the enforcement of standard visa
validity periods, renewal requirements, and the payment of prescribed fees
applicable to all entry visa categories. Authorities clarified that all
individuals holding affected visas must regularise their status in accordance
with the existing immigration rules.
The MoI also urged residents, visitors, and all concerned individuals to ensure that their legal residency or visit status remains valid by renewing visas within the approved timeframe, paying any required fees, or leaving the country before visa expiry. The ministry warned that failure to comply with visa regulations could lead to legal action, including fines and penalties for overstaying, in line with Qatar’s laws and procedures.
