Doha: (QNA) HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al-Adha prayers along with citizens at Lusail prayer ground on Wednesday morning.

The prayers were also attended by HH Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.

HE
Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim also attended the
gathering alongside Their Excellencies ministers, Shura Council members,
ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar.
During
the Eid sermon, Sheikh Dr Yahya Bati Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of
honoring the rituals of Islam, describing them as a reflection of piety and
obedience to God.
He
said Eid Al-Adha was a significant spiritual occasion that reminded Muslims of
devotion, gratitude and worship, while also strengthening family ties and
reviving religious traditions in an atmosphere of celebration and communal
prayer.
Dr Al
Nuaimi also stressed the importance of Udhiya (sacrificial offering),
describing it as one of the central rituals of Eid Al-Adha and urging Muslims
to observe it in accordance with Islamic teachings.
Eid
Al-Adha, known as the "Festival of Sacrifice", is one of the most
important events in the Islamic calendar and is marked by communal prayers,
charitable giving and family gatherings across the Muslim world.
