MOI launches awareness events for 37th GCC Traffic Week

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior’s (MOI) General Directorate of Traffic has launched a series of events to mark the 37th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Traffic Week, held this year under the theme “No Phone While Driving.” The campaign emphasizes the critical need to follow traffic laws and avoid dangerous habits, particularly the use of mobile phones while driving, which remains a leading cause of road accidents.

Through these events, the General Directorate of Traffic aims to raise public awareness about the consequences of reckless driving and encourage a culture of responsibility on the roads. The initiative highlights the importance of protecting not only the driver’s life but also the safety of all road users.

As part of the activities, the public is invited to attend an awareness exhibition at Place Vendome Mall from April 16 to 18. The exhibition is open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering visitors informative displays and interactive sessions to promote safe driving practices and the importance of distraction-free driving.
