Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Interior has renewed its call for motorists to steer clear of improper parking outside cafes and commercial shops, warning that the practice obstructs traffic flow and puts road users at risk. The Ministry classified both violations under its traffic regulations, noting they disrupt smooth movement on the roads.
Officials
explained that vehicles parked carelessly near busy commercial spots create
congestion and endanger drivers, cyclists and pedestrians alike, especially in
areas with heavy foot traffic. The campaign, shared through the Ministry's
official social media accounts, forms part of its continuous road safety
awareness efforts.
The Ministry urged all motorists to park only in designated spaces and remain mindful of others on the road, stressing that following parking rules is a shared responsibility that safeguards both individual drivers and the wider community.
