Qatar announces readiness to host exceptional edition of FIFA Arab Cup; over 700,000 tickets sold

Doha, Qatar: Jassim Al Jassim, CEO of the Local Organising Committee for Football Events, has confirmed Qatar's preparedness to host an extraordinary edition of the FIFA Arab Cup starting Monday. During a press conference at the Qatar National Convention Centre, Al Jassim announced that over 700,000 tickets have been sold, with 210,000 purchased by fans from outside Qatar.

"We have received great response to ticket sales. Out of the tickets sold, 210,000 tickets are purchased from outside Qatar which means we will have a lot of fans coming from other countries. After Qatar, most of the tickets are bought by fans from Jordan, followed by Saudi Arabia,” he noted. The final batch of tickets, including those for the opening, will be released today. All ticket holders can enjoy free access to the Doha Metro.

Qatar has been a hub for major football events this season, including the AGCFF and FIFA Intercontinental Cup. "Out of these events, we believe the Arab Cup will have the largest turnout and we are looking for another spectacular edition," Al Jassim remarked. The opening ceremony is set for 5:30 PM at Al Bayt Stadium, where hosts Qatar will face Palestine.
