Riyadh: Saudi Arabia
has fully restored the capacity of its East-West oil pipeline following the
completion of necessary repairs. The pipeline, which is a critical piece of
infrastructure for the kingdom's energy exports, is now operating at its
maximum intended volume.
The restoration of the
pipeline’s full functionality allows Saudi Arabia to transport larger
quantities of crude oil from its eastern production fields to the port of Yanbu
on the Red Sea. This strategic route provides an essential alternative to the
Strait of Hormuz, ensuring greater flexibility and security for global energy
supplies.
Industry analysts suggest that the return to full capacity will help stabilize export flows and meet international demand more efficiently. The project is part of a broader effort to maintain the reliability of the kingdom's energy infrastructure amid fluctuating global market conditions.
