Kerala Agriculture Minister T. Siddique on Sunday visited the residence of shooter Vidarsha K. Vinod at Thambalamanna in Kozhikode and congratulated her on winning a silver medal at the Asian Games.
The Minister interacted with Vidarsha through a video call and conveyed his greetings on her achievement. He said her performance had brought immense pride and happiness to Kerala and assured her of the State government’s support in her future endeavours.
Siddique said
Vidarsha had created history by becoming the first Keralite woman shooter to
win a silver medal at the Asian Games. He also indicated that the government
would extend assistance to her in areas including employment.
The Minister
congratulated Vidarsha’s parents, Kochalunkal Vinod and Anitha, for their
support and encouragement throughout her sporting career. He later joined the
family in celebrating the shooter’s historic achievement.
