A devastating stampede during the Maha Kumbh Mela on Wednesday has left several people feared dead as thousands gathered for a sacred dip in the Ganga River to observe the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya. Eyewitnesses reported chaos as large crowds surged toward the riverbank, leading to the tragic incident. Emergency services responded swiftly, with multiple ambulances dispatched to the scene. Injured individuals were promptly transported to the central hospital located within the Mela grounds for urgent medical attention.

Sources close to the situation, indicated that at least 15 bodies have already been brought to the hospital, intensifying fears about the overall toll of the incident.
