Doha, Qatar: HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani patronised the graduation ceremony of the eighth batch of cadets from the Police College of the Police Academy, held at Al Sailiya on Wednesday morning.

The
ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers, heads of
diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar, senior officers from the
Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, State Security
Service, Lekhwiya Force, along with senior security and military officials from
several fraternal and friendly countries.
The
event commenced with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the
commander of the graduating cadets requesting HH The Amir to inspect the parade
of 168 graduates
representing Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Palestine, Libya, Yemen, and Somalia.
Following the recitation of verses from the Holy
Qur’an, HE Major General Abdulrahman
Majid Al Sulaiti, President of the Police Academy, delivered a
speech highlighting the achievements and dedication of the graduating cadets.
HH The Amir later honoured the top-performing
graduates, after which the Police College flag was formally handed over from
the eighth batch to the ninth batch. The appointment decree was then read, and
the graduates marched out in formation.
The ceremony featured a marching display, a military parade, and a special appearance by the “Officers of Tomorrow” group comprising school students. The event concluded with the graduates taking the oath and performing the Police College anthem.
