Qatar Football Festival 2026 to kick off in March with Finalissima and global showdowns

Doha, Qatar: The Local Organising Committee (LOC) for Football Events has officially announced the Qatar Football Festival 2026, scheduled to take place from March 26 to 31, bringing together some of the world’s top footballing nations in a week-long celebration of international football.

The festival’s headline event will be the men’s Finalissima 2026, alongside a series of high-profile international matches featuring Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Serbia. The tournament is designed to offer participating teams a valuable opportunity to assess their form and readiness ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The Qatar Football Festival will feature six matches across some of the country’s premier stadiums:

Finalissima 2026 at Lusail Stadium

The much-anticipated Finalissima will be staged on March 27 at the iconic Lusail Stadium, where European champions Spain will face South American champions Argentina in a clash between two continental titleholders, promising a spectacle for football fans worldwide.

  • March 26: Egypt vs Saudi Arabia – Ahmad bin Ali Stadium
  • March 26: Qatar vs Serbia – Jassim bin Hamad Stadium
  • March 30: Egypt vs Spain – Lusail Stadium
  • March 30: Saudi Arabia vs Serbia – Jassim bin Hamad Stadium
  • March 31: Qatar vs Argentina – Lusail Stadium

Exclusive travel packages for international fans will be available from February 1, 2026, in partnership with Visit Qatar, the official destination marketing arm of Qatar Tourism, and Qatar Airways.
Match tickets will go on sale starting February 25, 2026, via roadtoqatar.qa.

H.E. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the LOC for Football Events, said Qatar looks forward to welcoming players and fans from around the globe as it prepares to host the world’s biggest football stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Lusail Stadium continues to hold a special place in world football, having hosted iconic moments during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and Qatar’s historic AFC Asian Cup triumph. With the Finalissima and marquee international matches returning to the venue, Lusail is set once again to be the stage for unforgettable footballing memories.
