Human resources remain irreplaceable even in the AI Era: Najeeb Kanthapuram MLA

Doha, Qatar: Emphasising that human resources are an inexhaustible and priceless asset, Najeeb Kanthapuram MLA said that rapid technological advancements, including Artificial Intelligence, will never diminish the value of human potential. He was delivering the keynote address at the valedictory session of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Focus International, Qatar Region, a leading youth organisation.

The MLA noted that through the agricultural, industrial and computer revolutions, the importance of human resources has remained constant, and the same will continue in the era of Artificial Intelligence. While technology can enhance efficiency, he said, uniquely human qualities such as empathy, compassion, humanity and emotional intelligence cannot be replaced. He added that AI will not result in job losses but will instead create more opportunities for educated and skilled individuals who are prepared to adapt.

Highlighting the rapidly changing global order, Najeeb Kanthapuram urged the younger generation to continuously learn and equip themselves with emerging technologies. He stressed that youth must strive to become part of solutions rather than merely reacting to challenges. Students, parents and education experts, he said, should take collective responsibility in identifying new opportunities and preparing for the future. He also underscored the importance of financial discipline and nurturing self-confidence in children, enabling them to discover their purpose in life in tune with global developments.

The conference was held at the Awsaj Auditorium, Qatar Foundation, and was presided over by Haris P. T., CEO of Focus International Qatar Region. Greetings were delivered by E. P. Abdurahman, President of the Indian Sports Council; Siraj Iritti, President of the Qatar Indian Islahi Centre; and Shabeer Velladath, CEO of Focus International.

COO Ameer Shaji, Deputy CEO Safeerussalam, CFO Faiz Elayodan, Dr. Razeel Moideen, and Ashiq Beypore also addressed the gathering. The programme was led by Moideen Sha, Hafiz Shabeer, Rashiq Backer, Ameenu Rahman A. S., Fahzir Rahman, Sijila K. Saidu, Suada Ismail Ashraf, and other senior members of the organisation.
