Doha, Qatar: M.E.S Indian School delivered an outstanding performance at the ICC CRIIIO Women’s National Cricket Festival, emerging as one of the most successful institutions at the prestigious tournament organised by the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) in collaboration with the International Cricket Council (ICC). The festival, aimed at promoting and strengthening women’s cricket, saw enthusiastic participation from schools across Qatar, creating a highly competitive and inspiring sporting platform.

Indian School fielded two strong teams - MES Falcons and MES Phoenix - both of which showcased exceptional skill,
discipline and teamwork throughout the tournament. Team MES Falcons advanced
confidently through the stages and clinched the gold medal after a thrilling
final against Birla
Public School, demonstrating resilience, technical excellence
and unwavering determination. Meanwhile, MES Phoenix put up a commendable performance, securing
the bronze medal with
a decisive victory over Bright Future School in the third-place play-off, earning
praise for their perseverance and sportsmanship.
A major highlight of the festival was the presence
of Mr Jay Shah, Chairman of the
International Cricket Council, who honoured the winners and
finalists. His gracious presence and motivating words added prestige to the
event and served as a source of inspiration for the young athletes
participating in the tournament.
Congratulating
the teams, Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of
M.E.S Indian School, described the achievement as a proud
milestone in the school’s sporting journey, underlining its strong commitment
to nurturing girls’ sports and empowering students through co-curricular
excellence. The school management also lauded the Physical Education Department
and the coaching staff, Ms Kabia Badoni, for their dedicated guidance and
continuous support in shaping the students’ sporting success.
