Doha, Qatar: Micro Health Laboratories, Qatar’s leading private-sector Precision Diagnostic Centre, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) to provide free radiology services to low-income expatriates in Qatar, marking a significant step towards equitable access to essential healthcare. The initiative seeks to ease the financial burden of critical diagnostic services and ensure that underprivileged members of the expatriate community receive timely and quality medical care.
The
MoU signing ceremony was held in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Vipul,
Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, along with senior officials from the
Embassy of India, ICBF office bearers, and the leadership team of Micro Health
Laboratories. The collaboration reflects the shared humanitarian vision of both
organisations in extending critical healthcare support to those most in need.
As
part of the agreement, Micro Health Laboratories has committed QAR 200,000
towards free radiology investigations, including X-Ray, Ultrasound, MRI, CT
scans, and Mammography-services that are often beyond the reach of low-income
individuals. Eligible beneficiaries will be identified and referred by ICBF
through a formal verification and referral process to ensure transparency and
genuine access.
In addition to free radiology services, Micro
Health Laboratories will offer a 30 per cent discount on all laboratory
investigations for ICBF-referred patients. The initiative builds on the
organisation’s long-standing commitment to preventive and affordable
healthcare, including its highly subsidised Lifestyle Disease Check-up campaign
that has been running successfully for over 16 years.
Welcoming the
initiative, ICBF President Mr. Shanavas Bava described the MoU as a significant
milestone in supporting vulnerable expatriates, while Dr. Noushad C.K., Founder
and CEO of Micro Health Laboratories, said the partnership reflects the
institution’s core values of compassion, inclusivity, and service. His
Excellency Ambassador Vipul commended ICBF’s four decades of community service
and appreciated the joint effort to make vital medical services accessible to
underprivileged sections of society in Qatar.
