Doha: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to begin an official three-nation tour of the Gulf region this week, with visits to Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman scheduled from October 21 to 23.
The
visit, announced by Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran
on Monday, comes at the invitation of the leaders of the three countries. It
underscores Türkiye’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic and strategic
partnerships with key Gulf states.
During
the tour, President Erdoğan will hold high-level meetings focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation
in various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and security. The
discussions are also expected to explore new avenues for collaboration and address regional and
international developments of mutual concern.
The
visit will further aim to reinforce the legal and institutional framework governing
Türkiye’s ties with each country, with several agreements expected to be signed
to bolster long-term cooperation.
Observers view Erdoğan’s Gulf trip as part of Ankara’s broader strategy to deepen engagement with regional partners and expand its diplomatic and economic footprint across the Middle East.
